The short version

MIDIKid is made by Mr. Brad's Music. MIDIKid does not collect, sell, or share personal information with us. The app does not require an account. Touches, gestures, MIDI messages, and optional Link synchronization are used to make music locally or to communicate with the music destinations you choose.

In plain English: MIDIKid is a musical playground, not a people-tracking playground.

Information MIDIKid processes

  • Touch and control input: Touches, gestures, pad interactions, and other controls may be processed in real time to create notes, control changes, and other musical output.
  • MIDI data: MIDI messages are sent to the Core MIDI, Bluetooth MIDI, or other destination you select. We do not receive those messages on our servers.
  • Ableton Link data: If you enable Link, compatible apps and devices on your local network may exchange tempo, beat, phase, and session-synchronization information. This is used to keep music in time; it is not sent to Mr. Brad's Music.
  • App settings: Preferences needed to make the app work may be stored locally on your device. They are not sent to us.

Permissions and connections

iOS may ask for access to Bluetooth, a local network, motion sensors, or another connection depending on the feature and setup you use. These permissions allow MIDIKid to connect to your own instruments, apps, or Link session. You can manage them in iOS Settings. If you turn a permission off, the related feature may stop working.

When you connect MIDIKid to another app, instrument, or service, that third party's privacy policy applies to information it handles.

What we do not collect

MIDIKid does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or an account. We do not use the app for third-party advertising or behavioral tracking, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Apple and support messages

Apple may process technical, device, App Store, or diagnostic information under Apple's own policies. We do not control Apple's handling of that information.

If you contact us through the Mr. Brad's Music website, you may choose to send us information such as your name, email address, and message. We use that information to respond to you. Website and booking-form information is separate from MIDIKid's in-app data.

Children's privacy

MIDIKid can be used without providing personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if MIDIKid's features or data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change with any revision.
