The short version

MotionMIDI is made by Mr. Brad's Music. MotionMIDI does not collect, sell, or share personal information with us. The app does not require an account, and the motion and MIDI data used to make music stays on your device or travels only to the music destination you choose.

In plain English: MotionMIDI uses your movement to make MIDI. It does not use your movement to identify or track you.

Information MotionMIDI processes

  • Motion data: Accelerometer and gyroscope readings may be used in real time to control musical parameters. We do not receive or store those readings on our servers.
  • MIDI and control data: Notes, control values, and other MIDI messages generated by the app are sent to the Core MIDI, Bluetooth MIDI, or other destination you select.
  • App settings: Preferences needed to make the app work may be stored locally on your device. They are not sent to Mr. Brad's Music.

Permissions and connections

iOS may ask for access to motion sensors, Bluetooth, or another connection depending on the feature and destination you use. These permissions let MotionMIDI communicate with your device or music setup. You can manage them in iOS Settings. If you turn a permission off, the related feature may stop working.

When you connect MotionMIDI to another app, instrument, or service, that third party's privacy policy applies to information it handles.

What we do not collect

MotionMIDI does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or an account. We do not use the app for third-party advertising or behavioral tracking, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Apple and support messages

Apple may process technical, device, App Store, or diagnostic information under Apple's own policies. We do not control Apple's handling of that information.

If you contact us through the Mr. Brad's Music website, you may choose to send us information such as your name, email address, and message. We use that information to respond to you. Website and booking-form information is separate from MotionMIDI's in-app data.

Children's privacy

MotionMIDI can be used without providing personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if MotionMIDI's features or data practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change with any revision.
